GRP (Gross Rating Point)
A GRP is 1% gross viewership within a specific target audience. A GRP is the official currency in TV planning. If a target audience consists of 1,000,000 people, 1 GRP represents 10,000 people within that audience. If a target audience consists of 3,400,000 people, 1 GRP represents 34,000 people within that audience. The term is used when discussing the viewership of commercials.
